When you have people like Keith Obermann suggesting that Obama has a super secret-squirrel plan to actually prosecute these guys after the election, then you know this candidate has a Manchurian-esque appeal.

I wonder if Mr. Obama or his campaign staff have even the slightest idea how many supporters are deserting him this day. Lotta pissed-off folks out there right now.

Deserting him for what, though? McCain? Someone who was a serious Obama supporter is not going to jump ship to King George III. We're still in a system where we get two real choices (or to stay at home), and he's going to have to do worse than this to make McCain an appealing choice for a lot of folks.

(And actually, I'm being serious. Where else would you go, or would you just stay home? We're not offered a lot of options by our system. The reality is, the Dems would have to nominated the devil incarnate before I'd think about voting for the current batch of Republicans.)
