steroids really aren't that bad. with the vast majority of steroid users, you'd never know they used steroids; its the overusers and the freaks that give it the bizarre image. people with diabetes use insulin, people with poor vision wear glasses. women get breast implants.
some men have low testosterone, shouldn't they be able to use equipoise or some low level steroid for 12 weeks to look and feel better without being considered "cheaters"?
and what about arimidex, or some drug that just lowers estrogen?
they've been prescribing certain steroids to low test men in Europe for years.

You can get all of that prescribed here in the USA as well. I know a guy with low test levels, he uses the gel, whatever it is called. It made him feel 1000% better, within a day of starting it.

I agree. I have no problems with people using steroids or other performance enhancing drugs.

Is that out now? I would like to see it. In every athletic endeavor, at the higher levels, there will always be users. Some are obvious, and some you can't tell by looking at them. The bodybuilder types are the easy ones to spot. They're typically raising their test levels by 10x what they would be naturally, and, well... duh, it shows. The athletes in other sports, however? I have a hard time telling, and I have known a few guys who used it, so I can typically spot some of the easier tells.

I'm not against steroid use. I've known guys who did it for a long time with no deleterious effect, but they were very by the numbers about their usage. They didn't fall into the "if a little is good, more will be better!" trap that starts to cause people problems.

That said, there's no reason for me to mess with those drugs. But if I were in a profession like football, where my paycheck was going to be determined by a very short career... very tempting there.

I agree. Steroid use is rampant for exactly that reason. It's just that most athletes are very good at not getting caught and/or avoiding scrutiny. Carefully done, the risks are very small.

Surprisingly, the biggest steroid market is to non-athletes, just middle aged yuppies who want to get buff.

I'm not against steroid use.

I'm not against it either. I too would be tempted to take steroids if I were a professional ball player.

Heck, I'm tempted to take steroids now. I haven't to date because I fear the long term effects of down-regulating my own natural testosterone production.

Yeah, the people I've seen do it had test issues from then on out. There are drugs you can take to "restart" your production, but none of them seem to get people back to exactly where they were, prior to steroid usage.

As others have said, steroids really aren't as bad as people make them out to be. They are not notably dangerous when properly used. It's a lot like the rest of the war on drugs.

What I consider really nasty is that synthol stuff that people inject right into their muscles. One of the guys at the beginning of the video does that. Ugh.

Yeah, I agree. I've considered taking steroids myself. I haven't to date because I fear the long term effects of down-regulating my own natural testosterone production. But I have no philosophical problem with taking them.
