Anyone know of a good source of galvanized 1.5″ Schedule 40 Steel pipe in the S.F. Bay Area? I priced out a project at Simplified Building Concepts and it came to about $830 dollars. I need about 120 linear feet.

Someone on craigslist was giving a bunch away in the free section the other day, but I can't seem to find the post. Pls, post an update if you do find a deal. I have a keeklamp desk I have been thinking about building.

Down in my area we have yards with used metal...specifically steel and aluminium...

The screen I used for BIL I used 1" from Lowes (or Home Depot) because it was good enough price. I think 1 10" was something like $5 or $6.

Used is your best bet, since new has no real value as long as they are straight, so check to see if there is a yard near you.

I want to hang gymnastics rings in my home, without drilling holes in the wall. (I rent.) So I'm planning to build a box frame inside the perimeter of the wall with pipe, with stringers across the ceiling, from which I can hang rings. I may also make a bed suspended from the ceiling.

I'm still recovering from your last post.

Now you're asking for pipe...

Coincidence? I think not.

I took that class, it is what became techshop. After we took the class a few times, people started taking the class just to use the shop. Hence the idea of techshop was born.

It was a class on building your own battlebot. You designed/built a battlebot, and then we had a little rumble at the end.

Thanks! Yes, I've taken some welding classes there, and a carbon fiber class.
