This photo is awesome. Mostly because of the addition of the decoy targets you've placed around you in the apparent hopes of confusing your opponent. :)

Yes. Some friends and I gather every week to practice self-defense techniques. Sometimes our protective gear is a bit...jury-rigged. This pic was actually taken after an exercise where we practiced knocking down the opponents arms (hence the arm protectors) and (possibly) kneeing them in the groin.

Egads, Chris, check your sparring best practices list.

This photo inspired me to realize that, via the david friedman logic of "moral hazard," if you were to place an 8" spike (pointed toward self) in front of your groin, you'd learn to avoid groin kicks.
