02:45 pm - Ron Paul is liar too.

Previous Entry Share Next Entry

Lest anyone think I’m picking on Obama, Ron Paul is a liar too.

Here he is lying to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

Paul: "I have absolutely no idea who wrote those things."

Blitzer: "Did you used to read these newsletters."
Paul: [long pause]
Blitzer: Congressman?
Paul: "Not back then...[blather]"

Right... He's still the best candidate, though. I think he lies much less often than the other candidates, and his policies are far better than anyone else.

Well at least he has a blimp! Obama ain't got no blimp. So there you go!! Vote for the man who could at least get a blimp!

(P.S. I'm going to have a bit of a hard time taking any of your posts too seriously right now so soon after we've all seen you naked. I know that's a flaw in my character. I didn't mean to laugh. Really, I didn't. How soon do we get to see more? I meant to go back and read the rules of the Blackmail Diet more carefully, but I was just way too... distracted :>)

My biggest concern is he doesn't have enough lying experience to win.

Goddamn my cynicism.

Yeah, if you're going to lie, you gotta do it well.

I can't figure out why he doesn't just say "It was that Lew Rockwell guy" and be done with it.

Because whether he wrote it, or a ghost writer wrote it for him, he was responsible for the content. Outing the actual writer(s) won't change that.

What he should've done was apologize for the content, without trying to blame it on someone else.

I agree with you there, and also, I think it's sad that we can even make statements like this about our candidates for the Presidency of the United States.

Best candidate of those available? Possibly. But it sounds far too much like him trying to backtrack on what he did in the past. He doesn't sound like a candidate for change of any sort, beneficial or not; he just sounds like yet another politician.

This is not his best moment, no. I was very disappointed in his response.

However, he's often stood alone in the face of ridicule and scorn from members of his own party--and not just for the Iraq war. For example, at the debate in Miami, he endured boos for suggesting that we re-open trading relations with Cuba. His bravery on these issues has earned him some slack in my book.

So, yes, he's another politician. But if you look at his voting record, he's the most pro-liberty candidate, by far, of any of those running.

Have you seen his voting record?

No really. Go check it out and compare it to the other candidates. Hell, compare it to the rest of Congress. The "revolutionary" campaign isn't lip service.

crasch is right when he says Paul is "the most pro-liberty candidate, by far, of any of those running."

Dude, I agree with you about Paul representing radical reforms for liberty, and I think everyone should vote for him.

But if you don't think he's lying when he says that he didn't even _read_ his newsletters, over a period of years, well, I don't know what to tell you.
