If you're interested in libertarian oriented film or television, I highly recommend subscribing to my friend Jon's Miss Liberty's Film and TV World mailing list. His newsletter is the source for the news regarding the making of the Atlas Shrugged movie, as well as this tidbit:
John Stossel has been promoted to co-anchor of ABC's 20/20. He still expects to be doing his "Give Me a Break" segments but will also get to run the show with Barbara Walters. Stossel is the highest-ranking libertarian journalist on television, all the more so now.
I also highly recommend his book of reviews, Miss Liberty's Guide to Film and Video: Movies for the Libertarian Millennium

cute geek girl (appraising me): "You look like Nick Nolte."
me (only vaguely aware of who Nick Nolte was): "Uh, thanks."
After I looked up what Nick Nolte looked like then, I was mildly disturbed.
( from disturbed to horrified: Nick Nolte circa 2002Collapse )
